Maple Grove has many beautiful lakes to enjoy. There are trails throughout the city that offer scenic views of the lakes while hiking and biking. There are also several beaches for those hot summer days.

Floodplains

If your home has inadvertently been mapped in the floodplain:

  1. Visit the Minnesota DNR website.
  2. Scroll to Types of map amendments.
  3. Look at LOMAs using LIDAR guidance.

A LIDAR map is needed to prove that the home is not located in the floodplain. To obtain the FEMA floodplain LIDAR map for a property, email the city's Engineering Department. Make sure to include the property address in the email.
