Commission overview

The Lake Quality Commission was established by the City Council in 1986. Seven of the 10 members are chosen to represent areas near the city's lakes with the remaining five members representing the community at large. The City Council appoints the members to the commission for three-year terms.

Maple Grove lakes have attracted a substantial amount of residential development and serve as a focal point for the local and regional park and trail systems. The Lake Quality Commission monitors activities on and near the water. View more information at the lakes, water quality, and floodplains page.
