Face masks welcomed and encouraged
Effective April 19, 2022, the federal requirement to wear face masks public transit buses was overturned. As a result, persons are not required to wear face masks while on My Ride buses or while in our transit stations. However, you are welcome and encouraged to still wear one.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) continues to recommend that people wear masks in indoor public transportation settings and buses. Maple Grove Transit supports and welcomes anyone who wants to wear a face mask.
The health and safety of riders and staff is of utmost concern. Buses and facilities are cleaned on a regular basis. Riders are encouraged to follow the guidelines recommended by the Minnesota Department of Health.
Whether or not you wear a face covering, you still need to wash your hands frequently, cover your cough, and practice social distancing whenever possible. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces. Most importantly, if you are sick….do not use public transit.
