The week of June 19, crews are expected to begin chip sealing work on County Road 109 (locally known as Weaver Lake Road and 85th Avenue North) between Main Street in Maple Grove and Highway 169 in Brooklyn Park.
Chip sealing involves spraying a thin layer of sealant to the road, covering it in aggregate chips, and flattening it. This process extends the life of the roadway and can make for a better, safer driving experience.
Work is expected to take approximately one week.
The road will remain open to traffic, though people driving may experience delays. Using alterative routes is encouraged.
